6 Things to See in Seongsu This Week — A Seoul Pop-Up Route for Sept. 16–20

LIVING INDEX · SEOUL / SEONGSU / THIS WEEK

If you are in Seoul this week, Seongsu is best approached as a route rather than a single destination. Fragrance, K-beauty, Korean fashion and design exhibitions overlap between Seongsu Station and Seoul Forest through September 20. These six stops make a practical half-day itinerary.

WEEKLY ROUTE
Best dates: Sept. 16–20, 2026
Area: Seongsu Station → Yeonmujang-gil → Seoul Forest
Time: 2.5–4 hours
Focus: fragrance · K-beauty · fashion · furniture/design

1. BYREDO FUTURE MEMORIES Seoul

Open through Sept. 20 on Yeonmujang 11-gil. The pop-up introduces FUTURE MEMORIES alongside fragrance consultation and scent-layering experiences. It is one of the stronger international-brand stops currently running in the neighborhood.

2. Manyo Pure Soybean Mill

Open through Sept. 21. Korean skincare label Manyo turns the process behind its soybean cleanser into a playful mill-themed space. It is useful for seeing how K-beauty brands translate familiar Korean imagery into physical retail.

3. TENMONTH — A Gallery of Everyday Life

The Korean fashion label’s first pop-up runs through Oct. 11. Unlike character-heavy activations, this is a quieter gallery-style presentation built around clothes designed to be worn for most of the year.

4. Magazine C — Colorful Sitting

At LCDC SEOUL through Sept. 20. If furniture and visual culture matter more to you than shopping, make this a priority. The exhibition connects Magazine C’s chair-focused issue with color and seating in physical space.

5. TEASLOW × Musinsa Beauty

Open through Sept. 20 at Musinsa Beauty Space 1. Korean fragrance label TEASLOW slows down the usual testing-counter experience and makes smelling itself the point of the visit.

6. Jung Jinwoon: Oregon

A photo exhibition at FACADE near Seoul Forest, closing Sept. 20. It works well as the final stop once you move away from the denser commercial part of Yeonmujang-gil.

How to plan it

Start — Seongsu Station, then work west toward Seoul Forest.

Weekend warning — Sept. 19–20 is the final weekend for several of these events. Arrive around 11:00 if fragrance or beauty experiences matter to you.

Only one hour? — Choose LCDC + TENMONTH for design/fashion, or BYREDO + Manyo for fragrance/beauty.

Language — most spaces are visually easy to navigate, but reservation and queue systems may still be Korean-first.

Why this week is unusually good

What makes Seongsu interesting is not the sheer number of pop-ups. It is the chance to compare how Korean brands and global labels use the same former-industrial neighborhood to build very different physical experiences. With several runs ending Sept. 20, this is one of the better weeks to see that mix at once.
