The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on September 10, covering California Cade Electronic projecting finger lights sold for more than a decade. There are no reported injuries so far. But this is a recall worth checking quickly: swallowed button or coin batteries can cause internal chemical burns and death, and the affected toys were sold in inexpensive 50-piece boxes that may have ended up in party supplies, classrooms, craft drawers and giveaway bins.
