Seoul Exhibitions This Week: 6 Shows Worth Seeing, Sept. 22–27
Seoul’s post-art-week calendar is still unusually strong. For Sept. 22–27, the most useful plan is to build a compact museum route around Jongno, Anguk and Samcheong.
AREA Jongno / Anguk / Samcheong
COST Free to paid
TRANSIT Anguk or Gyeongbokgung Station
BOOKING Check timed entry for high-demand MMCA shows

Start with craft in Anguk
Opening Sept. 22, Equinox: Autumn and Spring at the Seoul Museum of Craft Art surveys more than three decades of textile designer Chang Eung-bok’s work. The museum describes a progression from roughly 100 motifs rooted in Korean visual culture into objects, furniture and spatial design. Admission is free.

Continue to MMCA Seoul
MMCA Seoul currently lists Do Ho Suh, Korea Artist Prize 2026 and MMCA×LG OLED Series 2026. The museum stays open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Do Ho Suh exhibition has had strong ticket demand; online availability can depend on cancellations, while same-day tickets may be available by time slot.
Practical route
Take Line 3 to Anguk Station, begin at the craft museum, walk through Bukchon or Samcheong, and finish at MMCA Seoul. International cards are widely accepted at major institutions; Naver Map or KakaoMap is useful for smaller galleries. English signage is generally good at major museums.
Living Index Takeaway
This is one of Seoul’s easiest culture routes because contemporary art, craft, historic urban fabric and independent galleries sit within walking distance.
