Things to Do in Seoul This Weekend: Oct. 2–4, 2026
LIVING INDEX · SEOUL / THIS WEEKEND
The first weekend of October is unusually good for experiencing Seoul outdoors: hanok houses open across Bukchon and Seochon, Nodeul Island becomes a laser-art landscape, and Jamsugyo turns into a car-free food street.

Friday: Seoul Hanok Week
Running Oct. 2–11, 82 programs span exhibitions, open houses, tours, workshops and performances. Anguk Station is best for Bukchon; Gyeongbokgung Station for Seochon. Some small-group programs require booking.
After dark: Nodeul Island
The Bitseom Festival runs 6:30–10:30 PM. Nodeul Station Exit 2 is about a 700-meter walk, with an evening shuttle linking Sinyongsan, Nodeul Island, Nodeul and Noryangjin.

Sunday: eat on Jamsugyo
On Oct. 4, more than 100 food trucks and seating for up to 800 people fill the car-free bridge from 2–10 PM. Public transit is strongly recommended.
Traveler notes
Most large outdoor programs are free; food, cruises and selected workshops cost extra. Cards are widely accepted. Check weather and same-day official notices before outdoor events.
WHY THIS WEEKEND
You can see three versions of Seoul in one weekend: historic neighborhoods, a contemporary cultural island and the Hangang as public space.
