Two New Seoul Flagships Worth Seeing Near Dosan Park — Helinox Wear and Madhappy
SEOUL RETAIL GUIDE · DOSAN PARK
Two recent openings make Dosan Park worth another look for design-minded visitors. Helinox Wear has turned its lightweight engineering language into a six-level flagship, while Los Angeles label Madhappy has opened a Seoul store built around a lounge-like interior and its Pantry café. They are useful examples of why this part of Gangnam is becoming a destination for stores that are meant to be visited, not just shopped.

Helinox Wear turns a tent principle into architecture
The most distinctive element is the transparent ETFE air-cushion façade, inspired by lightweight tent flysheets. Inside, the approximately 960-square-meter building moves from product and media displays to tunnel-like exhibition zones, a planned café level, private lounge and rooftop. The store treats the building itself as an extension of Helinox’s engineering identity.

Madhappy Seoul is designed for staying longer
Madhappy’s 3,400-square-foot Seoul flagship, designed with PlayLab, uses timber columns, blue terrazzo and glass furniture to create something closer to a social room than a conventional fashion store. Pantry Seoul adds coffee, pastry and gelato collaborations, including Seoul partners Maison M’O and ZENZERO.

Why this matters for visitors
Dosan Park is one of the easiest places in Seoul to understand the city’s current flagship-store culture. Global and Korean brands increasingly use standalone buildings here as spatial statements, adding cafés, installations, gardens and limited products that make the visit meaningful even without a purchase.

EDITORIAL TAKEAWAY
For travelers interested in Korean retail and spatial design, pair these two stops rather than treating them as shopping destinations. The contrast—technical and architectural at Helinox Wear, hospitality-led at Madhappy—shows two directions Seoul’s experience-driven retail is taking.
