Where Nodeul Island, Seoul
Admission Free · no booking required for the main outdoor exhibition
Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival opens tonight on Nodeul Island, turning one of the Han River’s central islands into a large-scale laser and media-art landscape for ten nights. Seoul describes it as Korea’s largest waterfront laser-art festival.
Why it is worth seeing now
The 2026 edition is the first to use Nodeul Island’s newly opened waterfront cultural space, which opened on Sept. 18. Under the theme “Rhapsody of Light,” international and Korean artists use the river, trees and outdoor architecture as part of the works. The opening program begins at 6:30 PM tonight.
How to get there
The simplest route is Nodeul Station (Line 9), Exit 2, followed by roughly a 700 m walk. From 6–10 PM, free festival shuttles run about every 15 minutes between Sinyongsan Station Exit 4, Nodeul Island, Nodeul Station Exit 2 and Noryangjin Station Exit 3. A special E-Cruise route also links Yeouido and Nodeul Island. Avoid relying on parking.
